How Our Co-op Got Its Name....
Years ago our family was looking for a name for our family homeschool. My friends had these creative names like Laundry Hill Elementary, so natrually I wanted something that was fun and meant something to our family. When my child was a toddler, she loved apples, but she would always ask for them to be naked apples (peeled). One summer we were moving from Washington State to Maryland, and after seven days in the car with nothing to entertain ourselves, we started debating homeschool names again. In the midst of throwing out names our daughter, Allie asked for an apple. I told my husband “Twenty bucks says she asks for it to be naked.” She sure did, and it was in that moment, while digging for an apple in a car full of road trip snacks, that the idea for Naked Apple Elementary and Middle School was born. When we moved into our homestead, it was only natural that it became Naked Apple Homestead. So when I formed our co-op it was obvious that we needed to call co-op something similar so Naked Apple Tribe was born. Ever since, it is the number one question we get asked by families, facilities, and anyone else who hears our name.

Our non-refundable family registration fee is due upon registering for our program. To accommodate families who may require a more flexible payment arrangement, we've broken down the fee into two parts: an initial deposit to secure your spot, and the balance due on June 1st. This allows you to budget accordingly and not feel overwhelmed by a large upfront payment.

Class Supply Fee:
Class supply fees vary as they are determined by the individual supply lists of each class. The fee covers both the supplies needed by the teacher to teach the class and those needed by each student in the class. Please note that our teachers are volunteer and class fees are exclusively for supplies. If a family or student must withdraw from co-op within two weeks of the start date, the class supply fee is non-refundable.

Class fees are due on August 1st. For families who need a more flexible payment option, a payment plan is available that divides the class fees into 5 equal payments over the course of the year, with the first payment due on August 1st.
