Roles

Our goal at Naked Apple Tribe is to encourage, support, and build up the homeschool family. Having a Leadership Team with fair and firm expectations is one of the ways that Naked Apple achieves this goal. Use this page to find out more about each position at Naked Apple. 

A leader is someone who is humble (emphasizes team over self and is quick to point the contributions of others), hungry (self-motivated, diligent, and prioritizes the organization’s needs), and smart (good judgment around diverse people groups, socially appropriate, and aware of the impact of their words and actions).

Director 

  • The director should be approachable and an objective listener. They should be a strategist and be incredibly knowledgeable about the organization. 

  • By modeling appropriate behavior, the director sets high standards for leadership conduct and intervenes if conflicts of interest or confidentiality issues arise.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.

Co-Director

  • The co-director  role will be filled by someone who possesses similar qualifications as the current presiding officer and able to fulfill the director's role whenever the need arises. 

  • This person must be approachable and able to handle conflicts that may arise in the organization in a neutral and biblical manner.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.

Tribe Mama

  • Outgoing person who is energized and excited to welcome new people to the Tribe. This person has compassion and grace for others so they can meet families where they are, in their time of need for support. 

  • Ability to work with others towards the common goal of supporting the homeschool community. 

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.

Treasurer

  • Highly driven and detail-oriented with proficiency in administrative tasks.

  • Demonstrated trustworthiness in handling financial matters and producing accurate financial statements.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.

Lead Teacher

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

  • Sound judgment and ability to navigate diverse situations.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with the director and other team members.

The Lead Teacher plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of each co-op day.

Event Coordinator

  • The event coordinator is responsible for a wide variety of tasks, which means that this individual must possess a fluid set of skills. 

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks. 

  • This extremely driven and detail-oriented individual should also be well-versed in liaising with businesses.

Curriculum Coordinator

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

  • Self-motivation, diligence, and a strong commitment to organizational objectives.

  • Demonstrated capacity for making informed decisions and managing diverse situations.

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules

 

The Curriculum Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting our teaching community and maintaining the quality and consistency of our educational programs.

 Class Registrar

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage effectively with families and staff.

  • Self-motivation, diligence, and a strong sense of responsibility towards organizational objectives.

  • Sound judgment and ability to navigate diverse situations.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with the director and other team members.

The Class Registrar plays a critical role in managing class enrollment, facilitating smooth class selection processes, and ensuring effective communication with families.
